Terms of service.

Raconte provides custom, made-to-measure, and bespoke tailoring. You understand:

• Raconte reserves the right in connection with all orders to require payment of a non-refundable deposit sum representing 50% of the total order price with any balance being payable upon delivery or collection of the goods. In the event that the balance of any sum payable to Raconte has not been paid within 6 months of the original order date, Raconte reserves the right to retain the initial deposit sum and dispose of the goods ordered at its own discretion.

• As all items are made to order, cancellations or changes to the Client’s order are not possible once the order has been placed. Once made our products are only suitable for the Client’s use, and therefore cannot be returned unless faulty or not made in accordance with the Client’s order.

• Your garment is a product of collaboration between the Client and the Raconteur. Raconte cannot be held responsible if the Client dislikes the color or any other feature of the product, including but not limited to the proportions or house style.

• The garments are produced to your measurements at the time of the first fitting. Upon delivery, should the finished garments need minor alterations, they will be completed at Raconte’s expense. Should the necessary alterations exceed the fabric allowance in the completed garment due to personal body change, Raconte is not obligated to remake the garments, and unless the change is due to grievous bodily injury, you are required to pay the remaining balance of the purchase.

• As Raconte has a particular house style and vision for the aesthetic of its garments, Raconte is therefore not responsible for the cost of alterations to any and all garments provided by a tailor not chosen and hired by Raconte to perform the alterations, unless otherwise agreed at time of alterations.

• Ownership of the product(s) will not pass to you from Raconte until payment in full of all sums due from you in respect of any of the products ordered has been received by us.

• Raconte shall not be liable for the following:

  • any monetary or other loss incurred by the Client resulting from an order or other contact with Raconte

  • making any style changes to an order that are requested after the order has been placed and processed

  • any fees and costs incurred by the Client in accepting and/or collecting his/her/their garment.
