Meet Elliott Terral

Growing up watching late night talk shows and daytime game shows, Elliott was fascinated by the hosts’ wardrobe choices and ability to hold an audience in the palms of their hands. David Letterman was a fan of double breasted suits, worn unapologetically open, but Bob Barker couldn’t have been buttoned up tighter. Still, both were stylish masters of their medium, and Elliott wore a suit and tie everyday as a child to emulate his heroes.

As a teenager Elliott found his way into the performing arts, joining local theatre productions and teaching himself sleight-of-hand magic with which he made a name for himself in the magic community at large. After graduating university with a BA in Marketing, Elliott moved to California to work with Dan and Dave Buck, founders of ArtofPlay.com and pioneers in the world of magic. Together they cofounded ArtofMagic.com, over which Elliott presided for several years before AoM was acquired. During this time, Elliott also created a podcast for the general public about magic as a creative medium, titled Magical Thinking.

Stepping away from magic after that period, Elliott dove into his other lifelong passion, tailored menswear. Hired to the West Coast Flagship for Suitsupply in Century City, Los Angeles, within weeks Elliott had become a top performing sales rep for the company and was quickly promoted to Made-to-Measure Specialist (when Suitsupply still had such a position). During his tenure at Suitsupply, Elliott made, styled, and sold thousands of suits and achieved the highest customer satisfaction rating in the country.

During the pandemic, Elliott left Suitsupply and launched Raconte in 2021 with the intention of helping folks communicate themselves authentically through beautiful clothing, crafted at the highest level. In June of the same year, Elliott moved to New York City where you can find him belting out power ballads at Baby Grand or wandering through MoMA when he’s not clothing, educating, and supporting his clientele.
